“LA Hally gave us a design with a modern feel. Although we knew it would stand out on the 70’s estate, the design managed to avoid upsetting the neighbours – even the sceptical ones. We knew we’d never have a huge house, but a feeling of space, warmth and light was important to us. We also wanted the dull practical stuff hidden away and for our home to feel fun and sociable. Decent guest accommodation was also important. We went through planning three times over a few years! LAHA gave us renewed hope each time. They even managed to keep us enthusiastic. On more than one occasion we left their offices feeling surprised that we could still achieve something exciting. As our restrictions got tighter, they worked harder – it felt very much as if they were invested in our journey.”
