House 644
Project – House 644
Location – Old Alresford
Scope of Works – Extension + Renovation
Our clients wanted to create a larger entrance hallway and a lighter more airy lounge – previously it was cramped and dark. Through a single storey extension at the front of the property, we designed a larger porch and entrance hallway, with timber details in bespoke joinery throughout. Some of the joinery is made from battens to allow light to travel through the house.
Internally white walls are simple and put the wooden floor and beams on full display, which adds warmth to the room. Externally the black timber complements the existing red brick, with a new green sedum roof above. The peachy front door contrasts with the dark cladding beautifully. The client found reclaimed glazing squares which adds character and texture.
