Scope of Works – Two-Storey Extension + Renovation
Our clients for this project wished to rationalise the internal layout of their family home and update two existing extensions, which currently have poorly insulated roofs. We have added a glazed link between the two wings of the house and extended at first floor level, to allow for a new master bedroom suite.
A dramatic dark stained timber is used to clad the new elements, giving a strikingly modern appearance to the rear while remaining sympathetic to the neighbours at the front. The ground floor had been previously extended to the rear, so we have incorporated this into the scheme by cladding in dark stained timber to match the new first floor extension.
In line with the overall modernisation of the property, a new decking area is added to the rear, linking the different spaces and increasing the flow from inside to out.
