Scope of Works – New Build
Situated along the tranquil banks of the River Itchen, the clients’ existing property benefitted from an idyllic outlook on a quiet leafy site, qualities which they loved. The house had however become too large for them to maintain and we were consequently commissioned to design a new home for them on the adjacent site.
A modern take on a chalet bungalow, the new property has been designed to reflect the characteristics of the existing house in a more contemporary manner. This L-shaped property incorporates both ‘living’ and ‘sleeping’ wings focused around a generous front garden, maintaining views across the river and adjacent park whilst offering privacy from the neighbouring dwellings.
