House 243
Project – House 243
Location – Hamble-le-Rice
Scope of Works – Renovation + Extension
Originally purchased back in mid-2010, this modest Bauhaus property has been extensively overhauled to create a luxurious seafront home for our clients, who are both keen sailors.
Untouched for a number of years the property had fallen into disrepair, with a labyrinth of cramped, dark rooms. By opening up the floorplan and orientating views south to the marina, this dilapidated property has now been transformed into a bright and airy family home. Sliding glass doors make the most of the property’s seaside location, with the original rooftop decking having been reinstated to create the perfect space for entertaining.
Since completion in 2013, House 243 has received media attention in both local and national publications, featuring in the Daily Echo’s Homes and Property feature, as well the February 2015 edition of Homebuilding and Renovating. The project was also awarded Highly Commended in the ‘Best Renovation’ category of the 2014 Homebuilding and Renovating Awards and was featured in Real Homes magazine’s June 2015 edition.
