Framed view of a recently completed project in Awbridge, which included renovations of the interior and a total transformation to the front facade due to a two storey extension. Timber cladding and louvres with dark grey brickwork detailing gave the house a contemporary twist.

ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT
We are currently looking for an ambitious and motivated Part II Architectural Assistant to join our small and friendly team, who will be working across a wide range of RIBA work stages assisting with the development of design proposals, preparing & submitting planning applications as well as building control applications, co-ordinating with other members of the team, preparing drawings & visualisations, & liaising with both clients, consultants & contractors.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
· A passion for high end residential design
· A good interest in technical detailing
· Proficient in Vectorworks, Adobe Suite & Microsoft Office (Vectorworks preferable but not essential)
· Proficient in SketchUp
· Excellent design & presentation skills
· Polite & professional attitude
· Be able to work as part of small busy team
· Excellent time management skills
· Fluent written & spoken English
· Full UK driving licence
· Should be eligible to work in the UK and must be already living in the UK at the time of application

We’re excited to have received planning permission for our House 742 this week! The project is a beautiful brick detailed extension and timber-clad dormer in historic Winchester.

We finished off the day on Friday with the BuildIt Magazine awards ceremony, where our House 596 made the shortlist. We were up against some stiff competition and unfortunately this year we were pipped to the post, but we’re excited for several projects to be finished in time for next year!

We had a fantastic studio trip to London yesterday, exploring the Design Centre Chelsea for interiors inspiration and having lunch at Sky Garden to celebrate Molly passing her final exams!

We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for the BuildIt 2021 Awards, in the Best Architect for an Extension/Renovation Project category. Fingers crossed for House 596 at the awards ceremony at the end of November!

Another project we recently received planning permission for. This one is a new build near the waterfront in Hamble, inspired by the surrounding Art Deco properties.

Sketch for a project we’ve just submitted for pre-app advice. A simple lime-rendered extension sits alongside the 18th century house, with crittall windows referencing the original sashes. Careful detailing of the flint plinth and minimal roof trim allow the new to sit comfortably next to the old.

We recently gained planning approval for our House 661! The project features a red brick extension with large Crittall windows to flood the new kitchen with light, as well as a loft conversion with new dormers to maximise the property’s rural views.

We’ve just submitted this new-build house for planning. The house occupies a sloped site overlooking the South Downs, so the split-level design maximises space and views while minimising volume from the street. Fingers crossed for approval!
