HOUSE IN FISHERS PONDA detached Victorian house in a rural setting, this characterful property was introduced to us in a poor state of repair, not maximising on the fantastic views to the rear of the property over fields and woodland.
The introduction of a two storey extension along the rear elevation has enabled us to reconfigure the ground floor plan to better suit the needs of our clients, creating a downstairs WC, open plan kitchen/dining space, utility room and improved circulation all with plenty of natural light. Glazed french doors on the rear elevation link the new kitchen dinner onto the generous rear garden, whilst additional habitable space is created at first floor within the roof space of the new extension.
The proposal is to have a modern rural aesthetic, using timber cladding, aluminium windows and a composite slate roof. We have chosen materials of a high quality which will clearly define the extension, as opposed to constructing a pastiche of the original property.
